Support workers can record application outcomes for grants administered within the Lightning Reach portal and those completed outside it. This feature is invaluable for keeping track of assistance provided to clients and monitoring ongoing applications. This guide explains how to record and manage application outcomes.

How to record award outcomes
1. Access the Application manager
- Navigate to the Application manager section in the Support worker client manager menu.
- If you need help logging in, refer to the Support Worker Login Guide.
- Once logged in, click Application manager, as shown in the screenshot below.
2. Select a client
- In the application manager, you'll see a list similar to the client manager view.
- The list includes:
- Client names
- Account creation dates
- Access types
- Assigned support workers and their teams
- You can also click the three horizontal dots under Actions to manage support worker assignment.
- To proceed, click the client’s name, as illustrated below.
3. Add an outcome
- On the client’s page, you’ll find sections for Application outcomes and ongoing applications. Applications will only show applications started within Lightning Reach. External applications can be manually logged.
- To start manually recording an outcome:
- Click the + Add Outcome button, as shown in the screenshot.
4. Record support details- From the dropdown list, choose the relevant support scheme(s) matched to the client.
- Provide details such as:
- Type of support (e.g., energy support, money advice)
- Amounts or services provided
- To add multiple awards (e.g., energy support and money advice):
- Use the free-text field to include additional notes if necessary.
5. View the client’s outcome page
- Once recorded, the client’s Application outcomes page will update automatically.
- Use the dropdown arrow to:
- View detailed outcomes.
- Edit information if updates are needed.
- Delete outcomes
