Yes. Lightning and our partner organisations do not ever see any of your passwords and only have access to see your information, such as bank transactions and balances. This information is solely used to assess your application.

 

How long is my information stored for?

 

By law, the our partners have to keep basic information about who they make payments to and their details for a minimum of six years for tax purposes. Subject to any legal requirement, the they will delete your information where you tell them to or six years after your last grant payment was made. 


Lightning will also keep your information for six years from the date you submitted your information via the portal. Lightning will have an additional 90 days of read-only access to your account transactions from the date you grant access on the portal. They keep this data secure and do not share it with anyone.
