Revoking access to your bank account
If you’ve connected your bank account to Lightning Reach and would like to revoke access, there are a couple of ways to do this:
Option 1: Through your bank
Most banks allow you to remove open banking permissions through their online banking or mobile app. Simply log in and look for a section called Connected Apps, Third-Party Access, or similar.
Option 2: Through Lightning Reach
If your bank doesn’t offer this option, you can contact us directly to request removal.
– Email us at hello@lightningreach.org
– Use the subject line: Revoke Access
– Include the bank name, account number, and sort code of the account(s) you’d like us to disconnect
We’ll handle this securely and confirm once access has been revoked.
Deleting your information from Lightning Reach
You can request to delete your data from Lightning Reach at any time. However, we recommend waiting until any applications have been fully processed, as deleting your data too early may affect your ability to access support.
How to delete your account:
Log in at https://apply.lightningreach.org
From your dashboard, click on Account settings
Select the option to Delete account
This will permanently remove your personal data from Lightning Reach.
If you need help or have any questions before deleting your account, please email us at hello@lightningreach.org
Deleting your information from an organisation you applied to
If you’ve submitted a grant application, the organisation you applied to will hold a copy of your data. They manage this information under their own privacy policy.
To request deletion of your data from them:
– Contact the organisation directly
– Ask to have your data removed under their privacy policy
They’ll be able to guide you through their process.
If you have any questions or need help with any of these steps, just email us at hello@lightningreach.org.
