Receiving an invite to use Lightning Reach verification
If you’ve applied directly to one of our partner organisations for support, they may invite you to use Lightning Reach to verify your application.
You’ll receive an email with a secure link and simple instructions to complete your verification. This process is quick, safe, and does not require you to complete your full profile.
What is Lightning Reach verification?
Depending on the type of support you’ve applied for, you may be asked to complete one or more of the following steps:
– Financial verification – You’ll be asked to securely link your bank account(s) through Lightning Reach so the grants team can review your financial situation quickly and safely.
– Identity verification – To help prevent fraud, we verify your name, date of birth, and address using trusted online identity services.
– Additional documents – In some cases, our partners may need supporting documents. You’ll be able to upload these directly through the Lightning Reach portal.
These checks are designed to speed up your application and improve your chances of receiving support. They have no impact on your credit score.
How long does Lightning Reach verification take?
The verification process is designed to be simple and efficient – it typically only takes a few minutes to complete.
At Lightning Reach, we want to make applying for financial support faster and easier than traditional methods, which often involve emailing or posting documents like bank statements.
Do I need to complete a profile?
If you’ve been invited to verify your application, you don’t need to complete your full profile to use Lightning Reach verification.
However, if you’d like to explore whether you’re eligible for any other support available through Lightning Reach, you’re welcome to complete your profile. We’ll automatically check your eligibility for additional support based on the information you provide.
If you have any questions or need help during the verification process, you can reach our team at hello@lightningreach.org – we’re always here to help.
