When you create your profile on Lightning Reach, we use the details you share to connect you with the types of support that best fit your situation.

A support match means you meet the basic eligibility criteria set by an organisation offering help through Lightning Reach. It doesn’t guarantee you’ll get the support, but it shows that you’re a strong fit to apply.

How to see your support matches

You can check your matches any time by logging into Lightning Reach.
Once you’re in your dashboard, click Support matches to view your current options and take the next step towards applying.

Please note that some of the organisations require a referral from a support worker or non-profit organisation. If you don't currently have anyone helping you with this, your local Citizens Advice or Age UK branch should be able to help.

Keeping your profile up to date

Your profile is what helps us connect you to the right support. The more complete and accurate it is, the better your results will be.

Once you’re logged in, click My profile to review or edit your details.

Keep your information current – especially if your income, work, or living situation changes. Even small updates can make a big difference, as new support options are added all the time.

If you ever need help, you can contact our friendly support team at hello@lightningreach.org.
